So, what did I think of this book?
The books were a little bit uneven for me. I thought the writing was a little bit undeveloped. The main character, Samantha Moon, is pretty well fleshed out, but the other characters are much less so. The plots were decent (mostly detective stories), but nothing special.
These books feel like a self-published effort. Not because there is anything that I can specifically point to as being wrong with them, mostly just because they don't feel as well developed as most novels do. These are just kind of missing that "something extra" that makes a book stand out. If I was running a writing class, I would give these an A. As a published novel, I just expect a little something more.
Maybe another reviewer will come along and articulate better than I have, what is missing from these books.
