A very worthy follow-up to Savannah Blues. This time BeBe Loudermilk is the MC. After she gets cleaned out by a con man, she's determined to get her revenge. A wonderful cast of characters and lots of Southern charm make this a very enjoyable book. I loved it!

While I enjoyed the story, in this book Andrews would shift view points rather abruptly and it would often take a paragraph or two before I realized we were seeing things from Weezie's perspective. The perspective changes made the book feel disjointed for me.

Took a little bit to get into, but once I was into the storyline, it was really a cute book, and I finished it in a few days.

Excellent book. Great suspense mixed in with strong friendships and of course romance. Some of the characters introduced in Savannah Blues were brought back into this novel. This author does not disappoint in any of the books I have read by her. Don't pass this one up!

This book definitely falls into the Chick Lit category, but if you aren't one of those who refuses to read a fun book, you'll really enjoy this one. There's something here for everyone: suspense, humor, and a little romance. A nice, easy, quick read.

Bebe was a successful professional woman until she met Reddy, a good looking, wealthy investor who ends up taking her for almost everything she has. She realizes his con but not until she is left homeless and penniless but finds she still has one meager asset - a dilapidated motel on Tybee Island. Deciding to exact revenge on Reddy, regain her life and reassemble her nest egg, she moves into the motel where encounters Harry, the "rough-around-the-edges" caretaker. With help from her friends and a hesitant, yet handsome, Harry, she begins to make a go of the motel as she hunts down Reddy and her hard-earned fortune. Great story, excellent imagery and must-read to Chick-Lit humor fans.

A good long weekend read or for the beach.........BeBe and Weezie are back together again on an adventure to recoup losses BeBe suffers when she falls too quickly for a much younger man who turns out to have a history of conning wealthy women out of property and riches.
This story disappointed me a little as BeBe seemed just too naive compared to the personality Andrews gave her in the first book of the Southern series where I learned to admire her strengths in helping her best friend Weezie through some tough times. BeBe's grandfather and Harry, the manager of the hotel that falls in her lap, are welcome male additions to the cast of characters in Savannah.
We get to see a bit more of Weezie's skill at buying "junk" and turning it for a profit, but her main squeeze Daniel appears very little in this episode of the trilogy.
Truly a fun read for anyone that has good memories of vacationing in Savannah or similar locales in the South.

In this sequel to Savannah Blues BeBe Loudermilk is on an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, I cried, I got angry, and I cheered her on for her revenge. I also didn't want her to mess up another chance for love. Her friend Weezie brings along her decorating skills and her loyalty to her friend. This is a fun non-stop action read and a quality follow-up. A big thumbs up for this one.

Oh, my gosh!! I LOVED this book! I tried one of MK's books awhile back (Hissy Fit), but couldn't really get into it. I resisted this one, but a friend assured me that I would love it and she was absolutely right! It's a light read and had me laughing almost all the way through. The characters felt "real" and the story kept things moving right along - no boring stops. This would be a perfect read for long trips or do nothing days in the sun.

The totally insane life and times of Bebe Loudermilk and Weezie Foley. At times BeBe (pronounced Bay Bay) is brilliant and comical and others she's a TSTL heroine whose stupidity gets on my nerves. She's a definite loser with men - three divorces and gets taken to the cleaners by her boy toy. Once she gets working on the motel, the action really picks up and the book is un-put-downable. A terrific ending to a typical BeBe story.

I enjoyed the story, it kept me interested with a different kind of "mystery" plot. I don't like the language and won't read any more of the author's books.

Another story by Mary Kay Andrews. Fun and Entertaining. Bebe gets conned out of most of her fortune except an old motel on Tybee Island. See how she turns it around and tries to get revenge on her con man.

After seeing all of the good reviews on this title all I can say is "Ditto!" Mary Kay Andrews has a way with words. No doubt about it. I started with Fixer Upper and simply HAD to have more of her style! I just finished this one, Savannah Breeze, my third, and am still lusting for more.
I wish the author would keep writing about Weezie and Bebe's lives but I also realize there can't be an awful lot more to say about them. So I'll move on to her others. Just keep them coming girl!!
Only one small thing kept this title from recieving a five star review from me. I have to agree with the reviewer who said the way the chapters were divided up between Weezy and Bebe made the reading a little disjointed. Even so I cheerfully put up with it, whereas with any other book I probably would not have.

BeBe Loudermilk has lost all her worldly possessions, thanks to a brief but disastrous relationship with the gorgeous Reddy, an "investment counselor" who turns out to be a con man. All that's left is a ramshackle 1950s motel on Tybee Islandan eccentric beach town that calls itself a drinking village with a fishing problem.

Breeze Inn is a place where the very classy BeBe wouldn't normally be caught dead, but with no alternative, she moves into the manager's unit, vowing to make magic out of mud.

Then there's a sighting of Reddy in Fort Lauderdale, and BeBe decides to go after him. She puts together a posse, and with the irrepressible Granddaddy Loudermilk snoring in the backseat of the Buick, heads south. The plan is to carry out a sting that may be just a little bit outside the law but will get BeBe's money back. Great 2nd book at Tybee Island.

When BeBe Loudermilk's impossibly perfect new boyfriend turns out to be an impossibly perfect scam artist, taking her for everything she owns, she turns to her best friend, her grandfather, and a hunky handyman to scam the scammer.

Great fun in this typical Andrews "Woman Scorned" tale.

The Breeze Inn is a place where very classy Southern belle BeBe Loudermilk normally wouldn't be caught dead. But a brief, disatrous relationship with gorgeous "investment counselor" con man Reddy costs her nearly all her worldly possessions. The only thing that's left is a ramshackle 1950's motel on Tybee Island, " drinking village with a fishing problem." Relocating to the beach town, BeBe moves into the manager's unit, vowing to make magic out of mud--and with the help of the inn's cantankerous caretaker, Harry, and her Weezie, BeBe soon has the motel spiffed up and attracting paying guests.
But after a Reddy sighting Fort Lauderdale, BeBe drops everything and heads south with her hastily assembled posse--including Granddaddy Loudermilk snoring away in the backseat of the Buick. The sting she has in mind may be a little outside the law. But with a little luck BeBe will get her fortune back, Harry (who's looking more hunky every day) will get his boat back, and Redd will get the prison stripes he so richly deserves.
