This was quite good and our protagonist is different from most characters I have encountered in the many books I have read through the years. She does have issues and is prone to violence but she's clever and empathetic. Sometimes she tested my patience with her cryptic conversations but there's a lot of action and it still kept me turning pages. One of the bookstore patrons was always calling her "Lisbeth" after Larsson's fictional character and it gave me a chuckle but it's a pretty accurate nickname. There are subplots and detours along the way and a laid back bookstore to enjoy!
I loved this book. Do not read if you can't stomach violence, but Nikki is tough and smart and kind and awesome. Can't wait for the sequel.
