This was the first book I can remember reading by this author and it was an nice and easy read. The characters weren't too complex, but not too shallow either. The story-line had some laughs and a decent plot which will keep you reading. Will probably look for the rest of the series, since I've noticed it's a trilogy, but it's not high on my must read list.

Quite interesting! And an ending that just blew me away (and made me sigh and smile)

A lovely romance from Robards - this one set in Regency England.

The beginning of the story, when two people are pretending to be who and what they are not, is quite well done. As the story resolves itself, and good wins out after all, the reader will most likely come away from the book with a satisfied feeling. This is an author whose other books I'll have to read.

Surprisingly lighthearted Regency era romance. The premise and even cover art seem rather dark but Karen Robards writes interesting, fairly upbeat characters.

A convincing and slow built love story, Robards provides steamy scenes and for once a realistic deflowering. The foundation for the sisters was well set and Robards establishes enough interest in them to compel you to read the next book in the series.

The back cover and title are a bit misleading as the scandal of the "siblings" in love is only addressed in the last part of the book. The wrap up to the story was a little too tidy and convenient but I wasn't reading it for the "mystery". However the ending dialed down a solid four stars to 3.5.

I loved this book! A different twist on the usual historical romance. This is part of a trilogy and I will be listing those titles as well once I have read them.
