This book is the second half of Volume II of the series called The Science Fiction Hall of Fame. It contains 11 novella length stories selected by vote by the Science Fiction Writers of America. There is only one novella per author so that a reader can get some idea of the style of writing of a variety of sci-fi writers in a lengthier venue. The stories range in copywright dates from 1934 and run thru to 1961. (The paperback version of Volume II was produced as two different volumes - Hardcover publication was one volume).

These are all great novellas...my personal recommendation would be "The Midas Plague" by Frederik Pohl copywrited in 1954...
