This is the first "for dummies" book that I have been disappointed in. The writer leaves out the northern highlands and the Dumfries & Galloway regions because he has decided they are boring. Very heavy on the lodging, restaurants and pubs (which are better researched at the Visit Scotland national tourist web site) with pitiful little in the way of sights.
