The book gives a very detailed history of the railway but it only covers the preserved section, ignoring the fact that there was a third route from Noyelles that ran inland to Dompierre and Abbeville. This book does not attempt to cover the same ground; for the history of the system Pacey?s book cannot be bettered. What I have tried to do is give a better view of how the railway actually looked, concentrating on the years before it became a tourist railway and providing more detailed track plans and maps all in full colour.« less
