I am wondering what is up with the search feature? I just input an author's name( I couldn't remember the exact title of the book) which was Thomas Nixon. I got one hit and it was a book written by Homer Hickam! oookaaaay. If it were just once you wouldn't wonder but a few days ago I couldn't get it to work right either. Anyone else having this problem?

When I do this search (put Thomas Nixon in the toolbar space at the top of the page) I see the Homer Hickham book too. That is because the default search is for posted books only, and the Homer Hickham book is the only posted book that matches those search terms (the book description has the word "Nixon" in it, and the publisher is Thomas somebody). If I then click the link "Don't see the book you are looking for?" on the upper right, I get a longer list of books (clicking that link widens your search to ALL books), some of which have Thomas Nixon as the author. If I then click Thomas Nixon's name on any of the search results, I see a list of 4 books by this author, all of which are shown in red--meaning that they are all currently unavailable at PBS (but you can Wish List them). The key is to realise that the first search you do after you log in will always show you ONLY POSTED books, and then after that if you widen your search (by clicking that link on the right or choosing "All Books" from the menu on the top left), that choice will stick until you change it again, or until you log out. Then when you log in again, your first search will default to Posted Books only. Help Center may explain this better?

Thanks. I generally do not have problems with search features but for some reasson, PBS's just doesn't seem as "intutive" and easy to navigate as some other sites. I often get very surprising results!
