and I'M TIRED!

Actually I am lucky to be working... already. I am spending (by choice) another year as a sub. I have been a SAHM so long I don't remember what it is like to work every day. This year my goal is to try and work every day (partly in order to help me physically adapt to working!)

Usually sub jobs aren't that available the first week of school, but one of my teachers from last year "got" a baby today and is on "adoption" leave. We had expected to have a month or so, but they got a surprise call last week and you gotta get 'em when they're offered! So, instead I get to do the first week of school. I went to the first day of school yesterday, to listen to her start-of-the-year spiel, to meet the kids (at least 1/3 I knew from subbing last year), and to let them meet me.

Today I took over at school and she went to the hospital (It's a boy--she was hoping/ready for girl). Luckily the class is still on the small side (I am not sure but about 21-22 kids... originally 26--amazing the difference 4 kids makes) I am enjoying being able to try and set the expectations for the year.
