At first, I wasn't sure I would enjoy the book-the couple chapters in India were good reading. However, I found it was slow reading when she initially arrived in England and thought this is garbage but it picked up to a much better pace and was a good read and was hard to set it down.

I loved this book. couldn't put it down. She is a distant relation to "the Darcy's" but it was a very good read and I wasn't too sure from reading the back of the book but turned out it was better than I thought.

I love Jane Austen and have read her books many times. Even though this book is not a true Austen, I really enjoyed it. I would like to follow more of these characters and see what becomes of them. I would recommend Elizabeth Aston's books for those people who wonder what happened after Jane left the chaaracters.

I enjoyed 'The Second Mrs. Darcy' very much.

Ms Aston gives Ms Austin a run for her money.

I have passed it on to my sister and when she's through with it I will repost it.
