Written in the Irish tradition of wit and verbal agility. This is a must read if you like Irish color and lore. It doesn't hurt that there's a bit of romance tossed in with the mystery of who murdered Father O'Malley.

Danny o'Flaherty, a native New Yorker, is teaching school in Dublin. He spends a lot of time in the little fishing village of Ballycara. When the local priest is found dead in a locked basement, the web of deceit and vengeance hides Ballycara's darkest secret. Good read.
