âThe Book of the Damnedâ
This author's writing style is so beautiful and haunting that you can't help but get pulled into a story as soon as you start reading it. At times, it's almost like reading poetry. The stories were strand and interesting. They don't exactly drag but move at a slow and deliberate pace where you are wondering what will happen next. It's also wonderful how they are all tied together.

âThe Book of the Beastâ
This is another sequence of stories written in this author's beautiful style of writing. All are in some way related and all good reads for those who enjoy a wonderfully written, almost poetic, story.

âThe Book of the Deadâ
I continue to be impressed with this author's style of writing. It definitely stands out from the average author with it's gothic beauty. She weaves strange, yet hauntingly beautiful stories that keep you glued to the pages.

âThe Book of the Madâ
I was nearly disappointed that this series is over. This is another collection of stories written from the view point of several characters from different versions and/or time periods of the City. I was once again submersed in my reading by the tales and very glad that I took the time to read through this series.
