I like to read about emotionally torn heroes and Cristiano Moretti was one. He is enchanted by a maid who is cleaning his room, but he has no room in his life for emotion. Hallie Hatfield is from a loving family, a family she lost to a flood in her beloved hometown in West Virginia when she was 19. When she finds she's pregnant, all she wants is for her son to know the love of a family as she did. I like the way the author weaves the story together as both Cristiano and Hallie grow emotionally. In the end they both have to make a choice as to how they want to live the rest of their lives. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series!
