If you liked the religious conspiracy theories of The DaVinci Code then this book is for you. It touches on all the topics the Dan Brown brought up in his book and tells you whether he was correct or mistaken in his research.

You will come away from this book wanting to know more, too. Its greatest benefit lies in the fact that it is a compilation of experts presenting their views on a particular topic, be it the question of whether Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married or if Opus Dei is really as sinister as portrayed in the novel. Here you will find world-renowned experts like Elaine Pagels (now working with National Geographic on the Judas Gospel) who have written extensively on their fields of expertise. Each section stands alone, so you can skip around the book based on what questions are most compelling for you. You can also just read it straight through. The range of expertise, the variety of topics covered, and the lack of a particular slant to the book overall make this a spectacular beginning for your continued reading on topics emanating from the novel. I found this book to be a very interesting companion to 'The Da Vinci Code,' and I would certainly recommend this to everyone who has read the novel.

Good book to separate the facts from the hysteria. Study the science and learn how to back up your views about the book and movie.

I am fascinated with the Davinci code stuff out there today. I really enjoyed this book. It seemed to captivate more than critisize which is sadly what a lot of these books tend to do.
