The English Scoundrel started out at a slower pace then I enjoy, however once the story began to unravel it was highly enjoyable and the characters were easy to fall in love with. I look forward to following the Boscastle Family through the rest of the books in the series. However I have a feeling that this book will remain my favorite.

Enjoyable read but not worthy of the gushing reviews. All the characters speak to each other in a manner that seems very frank and with overt sexuality that seems out of place for the times. There was too much of the girls in Jane's family, including Jane herself, telling the hero how "manly" he was and how overwhelming he is to women. It was a little too simpering and creepy. The characters were cute but the resolution dragged on forever without a lot of payoff. I did enjoy the introduction to the rest of the Boscastle clan and liked the book enough to read others in the series.

The sensuality was sexy but not graphic.

This book is a pleasant read. The characters needed more development, but it was still an enjoyable book.

Generally speaking, I liked this book. Sedgecroft's struggle with taking the helm of his family was meaningful and his interaction with Jane entertaining. However, I did not get was why it was necessary for Sedgecroft to feel so betrayed by Jane's secret. At this point, the story gets too macho and Jane's plan for fixing the situation somewhat frustrating. Fortunately, I enjoyed most of the book.

One of those romances where the author goes right to the seduction without any buildup/anticipation. I'm sure it's juicy enough for most people.

1st book in a trilogy about the Boscastle family. Historical story of a rake, attracted to a woman jilted (with her compliance) by his cousin. Amusing.

This is the first book for the Boscastle family written by Jullian Hunter. You learn about the family and their passion for love. The men are talk dark and handsome with blue eyes. The Boscastle men can't deny their passion for women. Where there are Boscastle is a scandal. I had to read the entire series after reading this book. There are descriptive sections of passion but it's the story that draws you into each book.

It would have been the wedding of the year, if the bridegroom would have showed up that is. Lady Jane Welsham is left humiliated at the altar, but for some reason doesn't seem to be to upset about it. But the partiach of the family, Grayson Boscastle, the Marquess of Sedgecroft, cousin to the absent groom, can't stand for that and must offer his protection with a whirlwind affair.
