I actually have seen these faces. They are the faces of the dust bowl. Although the actual faces I have seen are men & women now in their 90's. Touching. I didn't realize growing up in Oklahoma that these were NOT "normal " faces, until I read this book. Hard times & the Oklahoma sun makes a person old before their time. Moving. I love this author.
