I did just change the title of this post and am editing for clarification. I used a self service kiosk (SSK) at the PO last Monday to mail a first class package to a friend. There were no scans on it whatsoever until thankfully today indiciating it was out for delivery. I did just receive a thank you email from my friend. I do recommend that whenever you use the SSK, to ask a postal clerk to scan your package before you drop it into the bin.
