Jason McCarver knew the competition would be tough when he saw how many guys turned out for the seventh grade soccer team. But, he hadn't counted on Rand Purcell. He was big, he was good, and he seemed to delight in making life miserable for Jason.

Then there was the other problem - the fact that Jason was adopted and never felt like he fit in. Why did his birth mother give him up for adoption? Was he really a "reject?" And, would God be able to help him with his problems?
