I love Wilbur Smith. I would recommend reading ALL of his books, not just this one. But, this is the one I would start with. First, The Seventh Scroll - Second, River God. Third, Warlock. Fourth, The Quest. This series is an extremely exciting adventure story that has to do with finding a lost pharoahs tomb. The Seventh Scroll is set in modern time and is about tracing where the tomb might be today. The other three books are a supposed story taken from an ancient scroll found in an egyptian queens tomb. The scrolls are written by one of her slaves. But, not just any slave. His name is Tiata, and he is a genius. You will love this book.
