I have the following nice older collector books that are in good shape for their age but still unpostable. If anyone is wondering why I am asking for a 2 credit order on some of these, look them up on Alibris, these books actually have a decent resale value.

Advanced English Grammar by Kittredge and Farley - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1913, good condition but some pencil writing on the inside

Lydia of the Pines by Honore Willsie - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1917, cloth cover is fraying, spine is coming loose from the book

Maida's Little Theater by Inez Haynes Irwin - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1946, very yellowed, cover has some small stains

Isa Greame's World from the American Sunday School Union - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1865, front cover is loose, book is VERY yellowed but it IS well over 100 years old

Marta in Holland: Little People Everywhere by Etta Blaisdell McDonald and Julia Dalrymple - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1913, cloth cover is badly frayed on the spine and several pages are coming loose

The Sea Wolf by Jack London - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1904, cloth cover is frayed, front few pages of the book are loose, spine is coming loose from book

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell - hardcover with painted on cover, 1955, spine is missing, first page is loose

Dictation Day by Day by Kate Van Wagenen - hardcover with printed cover image, 1923 grammar school text, ink stain on front cover, some light staining throughout

Palgrave's Golden Treasury by Francis T. Palgrave - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1929, edges of cover are frayed but otherwise book is in good condition

The Prodigal Judge by Vaughan Kester - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1911, spine is pulling away from the book

The Dark Wood by Christine Weston - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1946, badly yellowed and some of the text is fading

The Border Legion by Zane Grey - hardcover, no dust jacket, may be a first edition. Cover and spine are cloth and there is some fraying. Small stain on front cover, spine is pulling away from the pages

The Cost by David Graham Phillips - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1904, cloth cover is fraying, spine is pulling away from the book

Lucretius on Life and Death translated by W.M. Mallock - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1900, cloth spine is badly frayed, cover image is faded, inside front cover is stained

The Danger Mark by Robert W. Chambers - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1909, ink stain on front cover, first page is very loose, spine is loose

Gregg Shorthand Dictionary by John Robert Gregg - hardcover with engraved words, no dust jacket, 1901, cover has a stain in one corner and is very faded

Gregg Speed Studies: Anniversary Edition by John Robert Gregg - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1929, title page is torn, some staining on cover and several pages

Under the Story Tree by Mabel Guinnip LaRue - hardcover with imprinted image, 1923, cloth cover and spine are badly frayed and several pages are badly torn. However this is an antique grammar school text with collector value despite the condition.

Mosses From an Old Manse by Nathaniel Hawthorne - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1894, this is a mini-book, some mildew staining

The Art of Speech: Vol. 1: Studies in Poetry and Prose by L.T. Townsend - hardcover textbook, no dust jacket, 1879, this is a mini-book, some mildew staining especially on the inside front cover

Homespun America by Wallace Brockway and Bart Keith Winer - large hardcover with dust jacket, 1958, water damage and smells mildewy

The Complete Science Fiction Treasurey of H.G. Wells - large hardcover with dust jacket, severe water staining and smells mildewy

The Sign of Jonah by Nancy Hale - hardcover, dust jacket intact but torn, 1950, page edges foxed, other than that this is a clean copy

The Prodigal Women by Nancy Hale - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1942, cover faded, water stain inside front cover and inside back cover

Tales of Terror edited by Boris Karloff - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1943, cover stained, inside cover page missing, book has pencil drawings inside the cover and is VERY yellowed and musty

My Friend Flicka by Mary O'Hara - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1941, cover has mold stains, book is otherwise OK

Writing Poetry: A Beginner's Guide by J. M. Troxell Hartman - hardcover, no dust jacket, 1961, looks to be self-published, ex library copy, spine is detaching inside the front cover

A Shadow of Death by John Creasey - hardcover with dust jacket intact, 1976, ex library edition, has a nasty stain inside the front cover but is otherwise OK

Hi! I Have recently listed a bunch of older - collectable's on my shelf & in the book bazaar also! I thought they'd go like hot cakes too, so far no one as even asked about one.  I thought I'd start listing the books I got from my dad's estate, so far it looks like noone is interested. I figured I'd give it a few weeks then I'm taking them to the Book shop for store credit or whatever. But I thought I'd share the wealth here first.  I listed some First editions  from the 1960's and early 80's.  May be someone would want them some day.
