Hi!  It's the paranormal newby here again.  I was wondering if anyone has a few of the early Sherilynn Kenyon Dark Hunter series that they are thinking of parting with?

I have the first, third, and sixth in the series coming in the mail, but need numbers 2, 4, and 5 (they are on my wishlist and SHOULD come up fairly soon, estimator says one week).  The only reason I'm begging here is because I'm going on a three week vacation in a couple of weeks and would LOVE to have a nice set of books in a series to take with me.

If you have them and want to send them to one address, I would LOVE to read them.

My biggest suggestion is to watch the WL'd thread here in the Paranormal forums, click the 'watch this topic' and everytime you get an email check out the new post.  Some members only watch that thread and don't always see the other topics.

Didn't someone just have several of these in the wl thread a couple of days ago?

Well, number 5 just came up on my wish list!  I don't know if that was an act of kindness from this board, or if I was just next in line.  But I'm still hoping for numbers 2 and 4 if anyone wants to post them.  :)

Just wondering... if I don't get them all before we leave... is the order important with this series?

I did look at the wishlist thread, but didn't see this series.  However the wishlist post is VERY long.  Maybe I missed it?

I had 5 book of the Dark Hunter books listed on the WL thread this past week but when no one showed interest I posted them!   Books 2 & 4 were among the list!   :(  Sorry Edie!

i think in most cases, it's ok to read them a little out of order, but it'd be best to read #1 and #2 before reading the others.  #1 is in the universe, but he isn't actually a Dark-Hunter, so i think the rest will make more sense if you read the setup in #2 since it's the first with a Dark-Hunter.  though it's been a long time since i read those early ones, so maybe someone who's read them more recently will have another opinion.

and though i am getting rid of several of my Kenyon's, 1,2, and 4 are among the keepers.

I think you do need to read them in order, although I agree it's the first 3 that are most important.

I got them from a lovely member here on the board!  Thanks miz-rachel!  She's about to post a bunch of stuff to the wishlist thread.  :)

I would definitely read them in order or you won't understand some of the stuff that happens in the later books.

Did you check with your local library? My library LOVES Sherrilyn Kenyon. They have basicly ever book she's ever written.

If the book doesn't come up on my WL before I'm ready to read it, I always search to see if my library has it. It saves credits and supports your local library and the people that work/volunteer there.

I live in a teeny tiney town with a teeny tiney library.  Sadly, their paranormal selection is limited to... uhm... probably the twilight saga.  LOL!  Actually, I know they have the Vampire Acadamy in stock as well.  BUT they do have a very nice inter-library loan system that I can access online easily.  I do get books from them... eventually.  It's almost as fast to wait for a wishlist sometimes!  ;)

Of course I also have the problem with "which book to I read next?"  If it's a library book that comes suddenly available, I sometimes find it irksome to put down my current book or series of books to read something completely different just because it's going to be overdue if I don't.
