From the description, I thought this might be a good "revenge turns into love" romance. And Thea Devine's books are usually at least 3-star/pretty good. Instead it gave off a creepy vibe. The hero falls in love with the heroine because she looks like her mother (his first love). The story was draggy, there was too much past history; too much detail about clothing and physical appearances. I didn't believe the (eventual, it takes the whole book for it) 'love' between the hero & heroine. Just didn't enjoy this, sorry I wasted a credit.
Cade Rensell was full of fury and ruthless plans of vengeances until he met Sarianna Broydon. When he comes back to Georgia wealthy after being run out. She has no illusion for she is like the woman he lost.
all thea devine books are soooo good! historical romance(erotic)
