Shanna Swendson is the author of Enchanted, Inc., Once Upon Stillettos, and Damsel Under Stress. Her books are described as "fairy tales for modern times". I call them fun! The main character is immune to magic, which makes her extremely valuable in the magical community. She gets hired by a magical corporation to help fight users of bad magic. She can see fantastic things that most everyone else can not because of her immunity.
The subject matter is pretty light and fun, it could be considered appropriate for a wide age range. I thoroughly enjoyed the first three books and am looking forward to the fourth due out in January.
But, here's the thing: Shanna just posted on her myspace page that her publisher hasn't picked up the option for her fifth planned book. So, for anyone who is already a fan or becomes one, please pre-order book 4 so the story doesn't end before it's done!! I know we're here to exchange books and save a little money, but I'm asking that anyone who can helps out in this situation--save this series :)

I found "Enchanted, Inc." at a thrift store and liked it so much I ordered the other 2 books (our library system doesn't even have them!). Thanks for the info on #4 and hopefully more. They are delightful!! |

Oh, I love these books! I plan on pre-ordering book four. It is a shame that the books were marketed to the chick-lit readers instead of the fantasy/romance readers. The series deserves a lot more recognition that its gotten. I really like the heroine, and I adore the love interest! |

I LOVE these books! I went to our local Barnes and Noble to pick up book #2, and they did not even carry it! This is a SUPER author. |
