I believe this is Tesler's second in the Carrie Carlin series. It failed to live up to what could have been a good read. Set in Key West with a boat race backdrop the potential was there for some salty Key West characters, but there was little attention paid to learning anything about the characters, not even Carrie. They were all flat. They spoke their parts as the plot trudged on to it's obvious conclusion. Sorry Ms Tesler, a great opportunity falls as flat as the plot and characters.

2nd in series. A pretty good cozy mystery. I did like the first one in the series a little better.

Carrie Carlin's kids take off with their father and his new (much younger) wife, leaving her alone for Christmas. Her on/off relationship with her cop boyfriend is currently off; she receives a call from her best friend who is in Florida with her husband saying there has been an accident and the husband is missing and his brother dead. Murder? The mob? The FBI is apparently involved, as well. Is the husband dead? If not, where is he? Another death occurs and it's Carrie to the rescue.

2nd book in series. Main character, biofeedback specialst, Carrie Carlin, is spunky and funny! I enjoyed this light fun read and look forward to reading more in this series (I want to find out what happens with her romance to hunky detective Ted Brodsky!)
