On the evening of July 27, 1985, five hikers made a fateful choice to climb Yosemite's Half Dome, even as the sky darkened and thunder rolled. This is the true story of a group of young people struck by lightning on top of Half Dome. On this fateful day a number of other rescues were taking place at the same time in the park. You will learn a lot about Yosemite as well as how search and rescue operations take place. I could hardly put the book down!
