The early Amazon reviews for this book have been mixed so I was a bit leary. But finally read it based on a friend's recommendation...and so glad I did!

Face paced with non-stop story action. There's quite a few characters, but not difficult to follow because each is unique and complex. IMO it's a toss-up whether the characterizations or dialogue are the strongest story element, both are very well done. And the plot has a larger presence than many of this genre.

There's alot of sarcasm in this book, which totally floats my boat. Other readers may find it less enjoyable.

Something's always happening in this book (did I mention fast paced?); good characterizations, snappy dialogue, and lots of action. All around good reading, and easy to recommend. If there's a weakness, it would be the introduction of two new elements in the last two mini-chapters (most likely setting the stage for sequels).

Fun reading and a solid candidate for my keeper shelf.
