This is a children's book but even as an adult it really touched my heart. It made feel emotions ranging from sad and even angry all the way to relieved and happy. One of my dogs was a adopted from a terrible, abusive home and reading this book just reaffirmed in my heart and mind that I absolutely did the right thing. If you love animals you will love this very quick read.

The stories are very inspiring but the writing leaves you wanted more, particularly more detail. I found the stories too short and lacking description. Still, the message is a good one. Dogs are not things to be thrown away and forgotten.
