The people on this site's wait list are welcome to my copy because I have no desire to read this book a second time.

It had a very disjointed feel to it. You start in one time, flashback briefly to another, revisit at length yet another; some parts are written in present tense, some past; you're in one point-of-view, then another; you're made to understand one thing, and then left to wonder about another. . . .

The end is disappointing. The women from the beginning needn't have been so mysterious. Rather anti-climactic at the end for that.

By page 79, I was disgusted because I believed the story to be heading in a direction that I wasn't about to tolerate. I couldn't read any further until I searched for spoilers online to disprove my theory and allow myself to continue reading. (The truth was bad enough.)

As a Holmes fan, I'm sorry I read this book. I truly regret it. There can only be so many coincidences in life, and to have so many be so intertwined. . . . Everything unravels.

It feels like a fan-fiction that should be marked "AU" (alternate universe).

And I'm still left wondering . . . What was up with the dead dog?? And why Wiggins?

Best to forget I read it.

I really enjoy this author. The book was a fun, short read. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had ever read any of the Sherlock Holmes stories.

I have not read the Sherlock Holmes original series I do confess, but I enjoyed The Beekeeper's Apprentice by Laurie R. King immensely so I figured I would give this a try. Ahab's Wife is one of my favorite books even, so I entered with a love for Sena's writing. It was a very quick read, and an endearing story I would imagine for people who love Holmes and Watson, but it didn't really move me. Worth a try, well written with an unexpected and fun twist.

I enjoyed this one. Not all authors do the character justice when taking over where Conan Doyle left off but Naslund comes close!

If you are a Sherlock fan you must read this book. Highly entertaining and moving pastiche.

Very different than Ahab's Wife, but equally well-written. An interesting mystery story.
