Very well-written, well-researched account of the Zen Center scandals at the end of the last century.

American Zen Buddhist drama - sounds oxymoronic. "No good deed goes unpunished" as they say. Who knew that Deborah Madison, Smith & Hawken and The Whole Earth Catalog had ties to this movement? At 385 pages and written by an outsider, it was a fast and enjoyable read.
