My local library (here in Minnesota) offered patrons a handy little list of short classic novels, and I just made a list for you, my friends, whom I thought might be curious to see it. And maybe some of you know teen-agers who want the shortest book they can find. Anyone else here ever wonder what became of "Classic Comics", that some anti-reading kids used to use (or try to, at least) to fulfill the school requirement to READ Julius Caesar or some such work? Or who would see if there was a VHS or DVD of it? Ah, the life of the English teacher . . . . I didn't include the number of pages in each "short classic" on the list, but I do have that info, should anyone want it.

Me too.
I am betting that "Of Mice and Men" is on it. and maybe "A Brave New World."
Anyone else want to guess? Last Edited on: 9/11/12 12:59 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
