I apologize if this was discussed before, I didn't see a topic. I just recently saw this documentary and it had a profound affect on me, I cried in about three different places. It focuses on the state of health insurance and healthcare/HMO's in America, then takes a look at places with socialized healthcare. Here we force people to choose which body parts they can afford not to get re-attached, while in France everything is free- including a nanny after childbirth, who also does the cooking and cleaning for free if you ask her. I hope with all my heart that the right people see this and we, as a country, re-evaluate our horrific healthcare system and how we take care (or don't) of our citizen's. So, what are your thoughts? Please share! :D |

Hi Guys- I haven't seen the movie yet (I"m too sick to get out to see it, lol) but I've been b*tching and moaning about the state of health care in the US for years. I'm thrilled that Moore decided to do the movie. I just pray that it has an impact and that we citizens, as well as the politicians do something about it. The best way we can do something about it is to vote in the next election! US citizens are too apathetic and really need to get off their butts and get involved more in what's gonig on in the US already. It's falling apart at the seams! |
