If I could go 10 stars, I would. Another of Karen Kingsbury's best
sellers and a great Christian story.

A Jesus statue makes a statement and creates a family to be reunited after an impossible time apart. Awesome book of faith and love!

Love Kingsbury's writing--she confronts hard issues with truth and sensitivity.

Another Karen Kingsbury book I just could not put down until I was done. I love how there is a controversial topic in her books and she always somehow puts in a twist where a couple finds each other and falls in love. The reader really feels like they are part of this story and it is hard to put it down until you know what the conclusion is going to be. There is sadness, laughter, and suspense all together. If you like Contemporary Christian Fiction, don't turn this book down.

Everything is on the line for Bethany, Pennsylvania, a small town no one ever dreamed would become the center of national attention. But it has. All because of a beloved, hundred-year-old statue of Jesus Christ that stands in Bethany's park. A statue that some say is a clear violation of separation of church and state. A statue that has to come down. A statue that suddenly becomes the focus of a bitter conflict - one rife with political intrigue, social injustice, and personal conflicts. Before it's over, everything that Jordan and Faith and the town of Bethany stand for will be challenged. Will love be enough when the battle rages on every side?

Halfway to Forever brings back two of Karen Kingsbury's favorite couples -- Waiting for Morning's Matt and Hannah, and Jade and Tanner from A Moment of Weakness -- who once again face traumatic issues. Matt and Hannah risk losing another daughter as they invest their emotions in a risky adoption, and Tanner dreads losing Jade when brain cancer threatens her first pregnancy. Kingsbury's latest heart-wringing novel tells of two familiar, beloved couples learning to depend on God daily, regardless of trials and troubles that mark the path halfway to forever.

It may bring back these characters, but the book can stand alone, as there is a lot of background information. I read it before reading the other books.
