I have read every book by Dick Francis and this is good but I don't think one of his best. But I will continue to read them since almost all of his stories I have really loved.

Dick Francis is still on form with his latest mystery/thriller Silks. Geoffrey Mason, a barrister, is told that he must not only defend Steve Mitchell but to throw the case. There is also a side plot regarding his decision to move on in his life (which begins to take over the mystery... the one flaw in the book, IMHO). A solid Francis book, but not as good as some of his others. Still definitely worth a read.

Another Great Dick Francis Book. Reading one of his books is like visiting and old friend. The flavor of English Racing combined with the local scenes. Great ending too!

His penultimate book (Dick Francis died in February 2010 at age 89). His son is a physics professor.

Not really one of Dick Francis better works but clearly a goo enough story.

I am a major Dick Francis fan. I was concerned when I saw this book was co-written with his son but found it to be very good indeed.

If you are a Dick Francis fan, this book is a must. Well-written, fast paced and with a likable hero, this is classic Francis. His collaboration with his son doesn't change the tone of the writing.

I have read most of Dick Francis books, but this one is one of his best. It is written in conjunction with his son who did the research. for it.

I read in spurts because I lead a busy life, but I could hardly put this book down. It is very exciting. All of Dick Francis' books revolve somehow around horse racing, of which I am not a fan, but I have loved every single one of his stories, and I've read most of them, and am ready to read them all over again, including this one.
