Love Jane Feather's romances. They are totally "feel-good" stories. In this one, a sassy young woman is ordered by Queen Anne to marry a war hero in order to end a family feud. The girl is breeding racehorses. Meantime, her three brothers, scoundrels all, attempt to kill their old enemy and steal the horses. It is amazing how often these heroines are medical doctors (in this case, also a vetrinarian). Naturally, all ends well--most romances do, despite the required stumbles along the way.

Got caught up in the love story.

Like the rose in the haunting tale of "Beauty and the Beast," a silver rose on a charm bracelet brings together a beautiful young woman and a battle-scarred lord...
