Interesting book but a slow read. More like a documentation of women in WWI adn WWII. Would be a great resource for a paper on the same subject. About a third of the way through before she starts detailing interesting stories. She also writes like I imagine the 50s . . . full names for all the women and mentions their husbands and famous relatives. I did learn some interesting facts. Worth sticking with to the end.

Factual accounts of women involved the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War II. Authoritative, insightful. Generally, each chapter deals with one woman's role. Author's first-person accounts (she was in the OSS herself). A few photographs.
