Definitely the most violent novel I've ever read, I nevertheless enjoyed it all. I've never felt sympathy for a murderer before, but Hank really has had a string of bad luck.
A very, very good book. I had read his debut novel "Caught Stealing" a number of years ago and forgot just how much I enjoyed this writer and his character. Luckily our paths crossed again. Maybe this time I'll look for his other books without waiting so long.
