Really not a diet/exercise book as much as a why/how to be a vegan. The whole last disk is just a bunch of lists (foods to eat, month of menus, ingredients to have/avoid). Probably very useful in text form - hard to follow on audio. Language used by authors is EXTREMLY crass at times.

This book is not a diet book. It's a "how to be a vegan" book, that makes you feel like a criminal for eating meat.

This book has a lot of really good information. However the author can very easily lose people because she is so big on being vegan. Also she is very big on soy products which have been proven to be linked to many things including breast cancer when consumed regularly (from high amounts of estrogen). I am still giving this book 4 stars. As long as the above information is taken into account, there is really really important need to know information in this book!!!
Also I just wanted to add that for me I loved the audio. I am too busy to sit down with another book sometimes being its part of my job to keep up on other literature.

I don't mind the foul language or even the "do it and shut up" attitude, but I don't like hysterical propaganda and that's really what this book is full of. I quit 1/4 of the way into the 2nd CD. If you want to feel good about yourself for choosing a vegan lifestyle then this might be for you. Otherwise, it's just a book trying to bully the rest of the world into being just like the authors. I really don't like bullies.
