I have come from a family that believed reading was all. We were raised on classic stories from long ago, the the publish date on this book will attest to (1900). I really liked how the characters were all layed out and made quite vivid in your mind, and how the story told of the not-so-brave and the brave men of the time of the cowboy. The book is written around the strong moral fiber of the day and the great lengths that men like the sky pilot would think about, and appply to his life. This is definitely a western, written well, holds my interest. It does not have flashing lights and tricks and turns around every corner, but it is a good story, and boys and girls could appreciate this is there is a parent there to explain parts of the adult story.
