"SLAVE" by John MacArthur is a very interesting book explaining since we have been bought with a price, we belong to Christ and his possession. The author clearly throughout this book uses the metaphor of our salvation belonging to Christ that we belong to him and not ourselves. The word servant actually in the Greek means "bond slave". He explains that a servant is hired, but a slave is under ownership. This book definitely defines that once we were a slave of sin, but now we are a slave to righteousness in Christ. This is a must read for the Christian reader so he/she can find the hidden truth of their identity in Christ!

A COVER-UP OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS
Centuries ago, English translators perpetrated a fraud in the New Testament, and it's been purposely hidden and covered up ever since. Your own Bible is probably included in the cover-up!
In this book, John MacArthur unveils the essential and clarifying revelation that may be keeping you from a fulfilling-and correct-relationship with God. It's powerful. It's controversial. And with new eyes you'll see the riches of your salvation in a radically new way.
What does it mean to be a Christian the way Jesus defined it? MacArthur says it all boils down to one word:
SLAVE
Dr. MacArthur gives shows us our options quite clearly; you can either be a slave to sin or you can be a slave to God. If we follow the world and our passions we are letting our selves be ruled by sin.
If we follow God then we are selling our ourselves to a new master who loves and treats his "slaves" as members of the family.
At times the book can seem a little bit repetitive but it is a really good read that gives us a better understanding of our relationship to the Father.
Outstanding!!! No wonder so many of us have missed the mark and fall short!!
