I loved this book. It tells the true story of the first woman to complete the Iditarod sled dog race in Alaska, but it is much more than that. It tells about the wonderful people she met along the way not just during the race, but in other dog sled travels. She give insight into the independent nature of those who live in the wilds of Alaska, but also how they are willing to share a meal with someone who shows up at 2:00 a.m. This is an AWESOME book!!!
