When I spied this book on the shelf my first thought was, "No way...What a crock!" However, upon my second survey of the sales table I thought to myself (and told the sales clerk when she snickered under her breath at my purchase), "If there is ANY possible way that this is true (sleeping away pounds), I'm buying it."
The book in no way suggests that all you have to do is sleep to lose weight. It does, however, provide convincing evidence in the form of scientific studies showing the link between sleep disorders and obesity. Your body produces and releases all sorts of hormones while you are in deep sleep that regulate things like appetite. It also focuses on balance for your mind and body, which we so often lack.
A bit repetitive at times, but worth the read.
