Not her best work but decent read. You will not be disappointed

The books starts slow, and is predictable. But then pretty much all the stories have been written and the author does a good job keeping the reader interested. The dialog is engaging. And the characters are lively, though a bit cookie cut predictable. All in all the story does have a villain but... the story... it needs spunk. Everyone is so serious all the time. Everyone is full of doom all the time... There needs to be someone to balance the story out. It comes in the character modeled after "Chinese" grannies (honestly middle-eastern or slavic grannies are no better but Americans have come to associate this "friendly-fire-rudnes" as the behavior exclusive to Chinese culture, so I will go with "Chinese styled granny character". The Americans will Instantly know what I mean, and the Chinese minority will kindly forgive me the comparison. The is brilliant. The only problem is, her character is inserted, just before the end. Translation, too little, too late.

So the book is over all a good read for your money. And has a decent storyline going. It does have some flaws. It is not the best work, but you will never go wrong with this author. 3.5*
