Helpful Score: 3
This book was so poorly written that I couldn't make myself finish it. The worst aspect of the writing is that the author dumbed it down by over-over-explaining every little thing in the dialogue between the characters. Most of the dialogue seemed to be aimed at explaining things to us readers, instead of furthering the development of their own relationship and the storyline. I was very disappointed, and won't be buying the future books in the series.

This book graded my attention on the first paragraph. This books is full of fun, fighting, lust, surprise and love. 5+++ Stars, I would rate it 8, its that good.

Daniella Delaney has came back to Chicago to open up her Heavenly Cupcakes bakery just down the street from her fathers funeral home. She has been fighting a stubborn head strong man that is head of the local business association that does not want her in his area. No matter what she shows him upon meeting him.

Nick St. George is the clan leader and will do anything thing to keep only a certain amount of humans in his area. He has been trying to get the new head strong baker to mover her business elsewhere away from his VampTown. When he first meets up with her. he tries his mind tricks and finds out she is 'blocked off' he cant control her and this really piss him off. Now he has this human female that is making him feel emotions he hasn't felt n over two hundreds years but no he cant control her, this made his day into hell.

Well after a few days matters are even worse for Nick, now he has outsiders invading his territory and threatening Daniellas' life, as well as a clan leader out to take take revenge. Nick and Daniella finds out what the outsiders want and its has something to do with her very powerful blood.

This was very well written and the story goes right along no getting confused or boring. I cant wait to read the second book to see how Vamptown is running along with their cupcake eating clan leader and his love. I saw the reviews and I just cant wait.

WARNING--If you love cupcakes, you might get hungry for them while reading this book. Daniella has many flavors she is working with and it might make you want to make or buy some. Dont think I'm joking, just read it and you'll find out.

Well, huh. There were parts that were funny/amusing (like the blood supply coming from the funeral home) and not (all the damn Twilight references). I kinda/somewhat liked Daniella; however, she talked way too much and did act stupidly at times. Nick was a jerk at times.
I was thinking about a 3* rating and then this happened: "If you don't have sex with me, you're doing to die." How romantic! No need to worry, the sex was orgasmic. Whatever.
