Erik is suddenly drafted as an underaged soldier in Hitler's army. Secretely, he wonders if Hitler's "cause" is the one he should be fighting for. He also has another secret... he is part Russian, Hitler's enemy. This proves to be a blessing when he is suddenly behind enemy lines. By switching places with a Russian soldier, he is able to fool the people who save him, but how long can he keep it up?

I was surprised that I liked this book. When I picked it up at the library, I almost just set it back on the shelf (it had a different cover than this edition). Shame on me for judging a book by its cover!!

With just a little bit of stuff I was not impressed with, I really liked this book!
