When I borrowed this book from the library and read it to my 4 year old son. I thought it was a nice story, but my son LOVED this book and asked if he could have the book to keep. This is the first time he has ever wanted to keep a book from the library. So I put it on my wish list on PBS and got it. I am not sure why he loves this book so much, but it may be because an ordinary little hen did something wonderful and I guess when you are little and four years old that means a lot.
