Not as good as other Kleypas books. I haven't finished her Capital Theater series, but it seems it is the weakest series she's done. At least the romance in this book is slightly better that "Because You are Mine". I'm just not a fan of "love at first sight" stories, unless there's some actual development later as the couple gets to know each other, which does not happen in this case.

This book was a quick read and somewhat predictable, but I liked it as I do most of Lisa Kleypas books.

I have enjoyed this author's latest contemporary books and this is the first of hers that I have read in this victorian setting. Lisa is a good author and this was a good read but somewhat predictable without really grabbing your interest.

I've read 15 Lisa Kleypas books and she is one of my favorite authors. This book is not a keeper for me. I had a difficult time finishing the story. It wasn't that the characters were unlikeable or that the story wasn't well-told. I just didn't care. There wasn't enough on the line, it was too obvious how the story would end. And I don't mean that just from the "it's a romance novel" perspective. I mean I want there to be tension in the story and it just didn't work for me. I'm still a fan, just not a fan of this book.
