Very disappointed in this latest Stone Barrington book by Woods. Read like a fairy tale about very wealthy people as the characters. Not much substance in plot. If Woods continues writing like this I doubt I will read any more of his books.

This book may have a slow start, but the action picks up and does not stop until the last paragraph.

Don't know how this got to be a NYT Bestseller. It was very light on plot and character emotion. I hope the author's twenty previous Stone Barrington novels had more to offer the reader. I recommend this as a good book to read at the beach - quick, engaging and lightweight.

Son of Stone continues the ongoing saga of Stone Barrington with some unique twists as his life continues to unfold before us. Once again Stuart Woods does not disappoint.

Good Book not as good as some of his others but not bad.

I'm finding that Stuart Woods's books are becoming very formulized as if he has a ghost writer doing all the work. His earlier books are much more complicated in plot and characters {part. pre-Stone Barrington). I'm now finding that if new books are at a yard or library sale, I might pick it up. His books really are now for a beach read or in-between substance reads.

This is one of the better Stone Barrington novels in recent years. It is very heavy on plot, with lots of story progression and some decent character development. Things can't seem to get any better for Stone Barrington, who lives in a fabulous home in Turtle Bay. He marries long lost love Arrington Carter, and gets to know his precocious son Peter, the multi-talented young film director. Just when things seem as if they can't get any better, Stone suffers a tremendous loss. Luckily Stuart Woods has abandoned any attempt at his not-very-sexy sex scenes, which is a relief.

It was a great book. Was sad the way it ended, but I love the Stone Barrington series and I have read all of them. Was nice to see Stone finally live a life like most of us!

I enjoyed this book. Stuart Woods books are good for when I want something that doesn't take too much thought.
