Sour Cream Raisin Pie

  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 1 cup - raisins
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 2 tsps - flour, heaping tsps
  • 1 cup - sweet milk
  • 1 cup - sour cream
  • 3 - egg yolks
  • 1 pinch of - salt
  • 1 tsp - vanilla

Boil your raisins in the water for 15 minutes. Drain and let cool.  Mix together the flour, sugar and salt.  Add milk, cream, and beaten egg yolks,  Cook slowly over medium heat, until thick, stirring continuously, so it doesn't burn.  Add vanilla and cooked raisins.  Pour into a baked pie shell and cover with a meringue.  Bake at 350 degrees  for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
