I enjoyed this book. It's sorta a cross between a romance/mystery/funny type book. Lots of twists and turns and a murder to solve. This rich woman, charly, marries a man, Jack, after knowing each other for only 6 weeks. Turns out he has a past that's pretty 'exciting' but the book stays light and easygoing for the most part. There's probably too much swearing in it to recommend it as acozy and too many sexual innuendos though not overly dessriptive and some humor though not entirely.sorry but it's hard to sum it up but I really enjoyed reading it and plan to read the next in this series.
I loved this book. Reviews describe it as a "madcap mystery", "a modern-day Nick and Nora Charles", and "comic cozy meets crazed spy thriller." This is great for cozy or chick-lit fans, and introduces Charley Van Leeuwen, a commitment-phobic heiress, who is just returning to San Francisco with her new husband, whom she has known for only 6 weeks. Starting with the discovery of a body in the bathtub of their honeymoon suite, she is beginning to question just who is this man she has married. Lots of fun.
Chick-Lit crossed with murder mystery -- fun and well written
Very light, fun mystery - I enjoyed a look at how the "rich" live.
Margaret Dumas has written a delightfully funny mystery featuring Charley and Jack who are reminiscent of Nick & Nora Charles with a modern twist. Witty banter, humorous characters and a good solid mystery keep you enthralled from beginning to end. An entertaining debut novel that will leave you wanting to hear more about the adventures of these madcap newlyweds.
A modern day Nick and Nora Charles. Book One of the Married to Mystery series.
It takes to long to get to the mystery but a cute book.
