This was the first science fiction book I read, when I was all of 9 years old. Rereading it, it's kind of dated, a little silly, and I couldn't put it down until I finished it AGAIN! This was the book that made me the sci-fi geek I am, and I'm delighted to have it in my library all these many years later! (54 to be exact!)
Before entering his "dirty old man" period, Robert Heinlein wrote some truly entertaining young adult/adult sci-fi, often with some humor thrown in. And this book is certainly one of them.
